Here is how it works:

• in Adobe Lightroom or Adobe Bridge, set the image adjustments that are not automatable like cropping, exposure compensations, keywording (or anything you want);
• if using Lightroom, select the images you want to batch process with Photo Whisker and with a dedicated plugin export this list to Photo Whisker;
• launch Photo Whisker plugin in Photoshop: Photo Whisker will create a TIF and/or JPG version from original RAW files (that will remain untouched) doing these things:
  • RAW conversion using Adobe Camera Raw engine and all your adjustments made in Lightroom/Bridge;
  • retrieval of lens and camera models to apply chromatic aberration removal, vignetting correction, lens distorsion correction (requires third party plugin PTLens) and customized sharpening. Some lens module are ready to use (see below), other modules for any other lens can be easily self-added or requested free of charge providing sample shots (contact the support here);
  • optional analysis of shooting conditions (ISO, shutter time, exposure correction) to apply tuned noise removal with most popular Photoshop noise plugins (Noise Ninja and Neat Image)
  • advanced sharpening with a special algorithm to avoid color bleeding and sharpening haloes;
  • other advanced treatments, like a unique bloom removal to reduce effect of blue halos around contrasty edges (for digital sensor saturation) without affecting other blue areas in the image.
  • optional resize and quality compression based on the star-rating of your image (like smaller files for 1-2 star rated images)!
  • final conversion to JPG and/or TIF formats and optionally file backup on another folder/drive.

Besides batch modes, other modes are available, like single image processing and a great step-by-step processing mode.

Photo Whisker is safe:

• original RAW files remain untouched;
• all metadata applied to photos (like keywords, color labels) are fully preserved by the process.
